How long will it take to get my solar sysetm installed?
What is SEG approval and how do I get it?
SEG (Small Embedded Generator) approval is the approval from SA Power Networks to have the solar system installed at your home and receive the current feed-in tariff once the import/export meter is installed.
Upon agreement to install your solar system, we will request a copy of your electricity bill. We use the information on your bill to apply for SEG approval on your behalf.
Will someone need to be home while the system is installed?
No, we do not need access to your home during the installation. If you are unable to be home on the day of the installation please notify us.
Will my power be turned off during the installation?
Your power will be switched off for 1-2 hours during the installation. We will notify you when this is about to happen.
Can I upgrade to a larger system in the future?
The system can easily be upgraded in the future as long as you have the roof space to fit extra solar panels.
Who will be doing my installation?
There is no middle man. For both solar and air conditioning installations, David is the business owner and Electrical Contractor.
He is an experienced solar designer and install accredited tradesman as well as holding his split system air conditioning licence.
How long will it take for my import/export meter to be installed?
Once we have sent the Form A to your energy provider it will take between 2-4 weeks for SA Power Networks to come and install the meter.
We will do this ASAP to expedite the process as much as possible from our end.
What is a 'Form A'?
The ‘Form A’ is the application form that we submit on your behalf to your submitted to your energy provider in order to have your import/export meter installed.
Do I need to clean my solar panels?
We suggest you clean your panels every 6 months to help your system produce as much power as possible.
How do I clean my solar panels?
We recommend you clean your solar panels the same way you would clean your windows.
